Beginnings and Endings

Welcome to a slice of my life! I embarked on what I affectionately called this year, " me time". It has been quite a ride and a nice exploration where I intentionally re discovered  areas in my life that I elected to  put on a shelf while developing career and supporting family.
After joining an online mixed media group that encouraged me to try and where I met incredible online friends;the group closed in search of their own desires. It would be remiss for me not to acknowledge the impact that began as the kindness of strangers into three new friends that were important to my transformation. Jeanie, Tina and Jen , thank you. Each of you ,in your own unique way, have influenced me and generously supported my desire to explore and learn.
Jeanie , you opened your home to me and showered me with kindness. As we would be otherwise be considered back door neighbors, in comparison to Australia and Arizona, you have been an incredible friend. Enjoy the holidays and remember our pledge, more time together in the next year. (By the way, I have a blog because of you.)
Jen, you can't imagine what it is like to take a leap of faith and trust that the person receiving my trade on the other end would appreciate the evolution of my skills. Always the cheerleader, not just to me, your soft and kind words kept me going and as a result, I spent countless hours in the garage working on art; calling it art and sharing it as art. What I did not place in a folder for all to see, were journals that I gifted to people at work that have supported and encouraged me along the way. Thank you. As a result of you, I walk into the post office and they are readied  to ask if my letter is going to Kangaroo Flat.
Now, Tina. As my fairy godmother that gifted me with my name," SoKat", you gave us a scare, kept us laughing and oddly enough; allowed me to believe that I was not the only one that had computer challenges. Your honesty and live large attitude is refreshing and appreciated. After reading your recent entry on your blog about Kohl, I cried and felt more connected than ever. Your reflections and thoughts are so important. Now, back to your art.
To others that come across this blog in your travels, this is me! No holds barred, I laugh always and try to reflect goodness. Join me and chat. I intend for the blog to showcase my art and reflect on life. Nothing more, nothing less.-SoKat
